IDEAL FOR BACKPACKERS, ONGs and GROUPS !!! We save ourselves the right admission. Tranquil leafy barrio in the eastern part of the city, and a short hop from the airport, this peaceful spot makes an excellent choice. Rooms are confortable, with fan and bathroom, and the owner is very solicitous. You have also got the lively nightlife of Bello Horizonte just down the road. Make this Guesthouse your next Nicaragua vacation rental.

Nicaragua Vacation Rentals and Lodging
So Nicaragua isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you’re trying to plan your next vacation rental? Well, after a little research about this gorgeous Central American country, you might think twice about passing it over as a potential vacation rental destination. And, after you take a scenic, exciting vacation in Nicaragua, you can tell all your friends what an undiscovered secret it is! Nicaragua has three distinct regions, each with their own geographical wonders – the Pacific Lowlands, the North-Central Highlands, and the Atlantic Lowlands. The first, the Pacific Lowlands, are in the western portion of Nicaragua and are pretty much what they sound like – flat, rolling plains. However, this gorgeous region is dotted with a few volcanoes here and there to spice up the scenery! Due to the unparalleled scenery and natural wonders such as Lake Nicaragua, the largest freshwater lake in the country and home to the world’s only freshwater sharks, it’s no wonder that the Pacific Lowlands are fast becoming a premier vacation rental destination. Many of the beach resorts in Nicaragua are posted along this stretch of land. Just watch out for the many sea turtles that may be joining you on the sandy beaches – they’re protected by the Nicaraguan government! While you’re near Lake Nicaragua, you can’t miss a visit to Isla de Ometepe. This island in the middle of Lake Nicaragua is home to a few small settlements and coffee plantations. The conditions aren’t quite as plus as the resorts just across the lake, but you do get an upfront and personal look at the native Howler monkeys! And the lack of crowds during your hikes through the volcanic area is unquestionably wonderful! The Atlantic Lowlands region is home to a rainforest environment, complete with large rivers and stretches of land that have yet to be populated. The Atlantic Lowlands are also home to the country’s Bosawas Biosphere Reserve. This reserve is the largest rainforest north of the Amazon and protects almost 7% of the country’s area. The wildlife in this reserve is not to be missed – the colorful birds and playful monkeys appear at every turn, just begging to have their picture taken! And the Bosawas Biosphere Reserve is only one of 78 different protected areas in Nicaragua, just waiting to be visited. Nicaragua is nicknamed "The land of lakes and volcanoes" and it has rightfully earned this reputation! Whether you’re visiting Masaya, an active volcano that is home to the Chocoyos Parrot, or the Apoyo Lagoon, a crater lake that is home to many restaurants and fans of water sports, you’ll find plenty of things to see and do in Nicaragua that will only confirm your decision to take a Nicaragua vacation! |
