While you’re in Vienna, be sure and visit the Cathedral and one of the city’s Heurigen (wine pubs). Or pay a visit to the world’s oldest zoo – the Tiergarten Schönbrunn. And, if you’re lucky, you might be able to catch a performance by the world-renowned Vienna Boy’s Choir.
 
The next stop on your Austria vacation should be Salzburg. This town is the home of the classical composer Mozart and also boasts the Hohensalzburg Castle. This stunning castle, situated on Festungsberg Hill, is one of the largest medieval castles in all of Europe.
 
Or pay a visit to Innsbrook in Tyrol. This Alpine city has hosted the Winter Olympics on two separate occasions and is full of gorgeous medieval castles and cathedrals. Plus its close proximity to Germany and Italy make it a great central point for exciting day trips!
