Not to be confused with the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands offer up plenty of exciting island vacation rental opportunities themselves. Pelican Island is home to rocky cliffs on its eastern shores that are perfect for anyone brave enough to try a little cliff-diving. Salt Island is home to the RMS Rhone shipwreck, which sank after the hurricane of 1867. And Norman Island, a privately-owned island, is home to The Blight – three caves that go so far into the rocky cliffs that swimming there feels like a night dive.
 
But for those who like a little more tried and true British Virgin Islands activities, there are plenty of those, too. Jost Van Dyke is home to the Great Harbour, a site with some charming shops and restaurants, and was even the location for singer Kenny Chesney’s "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem" video. Virgin Gorda is home to The Baths – a sometimes crowded but well-worth-it natural lagoon that is formed from the surrounding natural granite boulders. The British Virgin Islands are also home to the second largest coral reef in the world – Horseshoe Reef. Horseshoe Reef is home to several endangered species like Caribbean flamingoes and Anegada Rock Iguanas.
